Apple Galette

  • 1/2 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon butter, melted


Preheat oven to 200oC.

Place the pastry on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Using a small, sharp knife, score a 1cm border around the rectangle and arrange the apple slices inside the border.  Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with caster sugar.

Bake in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes, or until the base of the pastry is cooked and the top is golden and puffed.


  • Replace apple with finely sliced pear
  • Replace apple with finely sliced peach
