- 1 large green apple
- 1 teaspoon butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon dried fruit (sultanas, cranberries, apricots)
- 1 teaspoon walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 160oC .
Remove core from apple and cut 1 cm from base. Push into base to act as a plug. Slit the skin of the apple around the centre.
In a small bowl, cream together butter, honey and cinnamon. Add fruit and nuts.
Stand apple in a small ovenproof dish. Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes, until apple is tender. Brush apple with pan syrup occasionally during cooking.
- Microwave Apple on medium high power for approximately 6 minutes
